For over 18 years, Joel has worked closely with the architects and leadership of Perkins+Will to develop and support a variety of websites used inside and outside the company. A full time web devloper since 1995, he has worked with HTML5, C# and VB.Net, PHP and Wordpress, and Drupal. He has developed multiple versions of the perkinswill.com website along with 3 previous versions of the corporate intranet using traditional asp (2001), .Net custom web forms (2005) and SharePoint 2010 (2010). He collaborates closely with the Sustainable Design and Research Initiatives at Perkins+Will, working as the lead developer on arearesearch.org and transparency.perkinswill.com websites. Prior to joining Perkins+Will, Joel worked as a network manager for CADGIS Lab in the Design School at LSU, as a researcher for the Coastal Studies Institute at LSU and as the data manager and webmaster for the Louisiana State Geographic Information Council (LAGIC), an initiative that assisted state agencies with developing and sharing geographic data and information technology.
